Default Fast 78 or 90 intake?????

Hey guys a buddy is having a problem deciding on which intake to choose a 78 or 90 fast?
Here is his setup:
383 short block, compression ratio roughly 9.1
6.0l heads ported at LPE
Custom grind cam 222/228?Possibly not sure
D1SC intercoolered hopefully making 12 to 15 of boost
What would you guys suggest that he run a 78 or 90mm fast intake. Any information would be great, with details. He ran it on a computer simulator and said it would be 78mm friendly but he isnt sure what to do or if 90mm would be best. Any info would be great. Thx guys
Thx rob

Might as well go all the way to the 90/90 set up.

Is that just sayen go 90/90 or is that based on research, I dont know anything about FI so I need some backing to why 90/90 would be better.
thx rob

Less resistance, greater airflow, more power created from less psi's, blah, blah, blah... it's pretty self-explanatory. If it was just a 346, I'd probably go for whichever is cheaper... For a 383, 90... Why not?

Stay tuned though, this could go both ways...

For FI, though, heads/cam/intake are the icing on the cake, for me. I would keep all that stock until I would have already installed better oil pump, better PCV system, forged internals/lower compression ratio, engine management... LASTLY, I'd do a better FI cam, 6.0L heads, 90/90. I wouldn't worry about that until I was done with everything else, assuming, of course, I could afford it, like if I was a bank robber or something.

EDIT OOOOPPS... I didn't read his set-up at the end of the original post... Hell yeah, do a 90! I would!

I would use the FAST 90mm intake and a Nick Williams 90mm throttle body. A 382 with a lot of boost can use the 90mm. Bob

Well, you don't need a throttle body bigger than the induction tubing leading to it, so in most cases a 90mm throttle body will gain you zero with forced induction.

(As in a car with 3in induction and a 4in throttle body, would be throttled by the induction tubing before the throttle body if it were to become a restriction).

For the money, I would just run an LS6 intake and stock throttle body with most turbo/blower setups.
