Whats the general concensus of fabricating a turbo manifold from ells or u-bends.

if your designing a slip fit merge colector then U bends are the way to go obviously.
if your designing a log or something that doesnt have a slip fit and want it to endure the chances of cracking then weld els are a good solution.
