Default Nitrous or Turbo

Which is a better choice and safer? If both setups are done right which would be a better choice (power and safety for engine)

Depends on what your goals are.If you want simplicity for a daily driven car do an intank fuel pump like a walbro 255 and do a 150 wet shot nitrous kit.Thats the cheapest way to get the horsepower.Just have a good tune.But you have to refill the bottle.For a stock motor the normal maximum boost you can do is between 8-10 psi which is good for ~500rwhp on a stock motor.But its more expensive and more parts to buy then a nitrous kit.Again its all in what your goals are.

so, is 500rwhp pretty standard on a stock ls1 with nothing else done? If so, that's significantly more power than a 150 shot, isn't it?

just depends what you want. everyone and their mom has nitrous down here, and it's not really my thing, so i went with a turbo.

meh.....so so.Most people that have spray also have intake exhaust and either a cam or cam and heads so they make 500 or more.most people with forced induction have intake and exhaust and if they want it to act totally stock they just bolt on a turbo kit or supercharger kit and call it a day.those that want more add a cam or cam and heads.Both can make good power but there becomes a limit on the stock shortblock more so for nitrous because with a turbo the cylinder pressure increases and decreases very linearly with few spikes as long as the tune is good,whereas with nitrous unless you have a progressive controller as soon as you go wide open throttle BAM you have full power.
