Default what to use for Twins....

Just wondering what turbos you guys think I should use for twin setup? My plan is to make 600+ on pump and then run race gas and really hit the sweet spot for the turbo's. What would you guys use???

I was thinking something in a 60 trim... maybe to big or great for race gas?

i think t60's would be to big for 600rwhp. i like the twin 57mm's HP uses in their kits. check out some of the cars. their making 800+ on the twim 57's.

i got a vette mag. and they dyno a 02 zo6 stock and it makes 356/331 and then they install a HP twin 57mm turbos, a tad over 7 psi and they make 551/529. at 3200rpm the vette was making 400ft/lb rwtq. i think thats great for the street.

For 600hp they would be pretty small. We've run twin 60's to almost 1000hp and they can probly go higher.

Thats what I am thinking. I can go a LITTLE big for street but once the boost is turned up I like to make power!!!! So you think a 60 trim is the trick?

When people like HP say twin 57mm turbos what they actually mean are T3/TO4E 57-trim turbochargers, which just happen to have a roughly 56mm inducer. T3/TO4E 57-trim's and T3/TO4E 60-trim's will support basically the same amount of power, with the right turbine wheels they will make roughly 450-500 RWHP each.

So your saying that the 57 and 60 trim could make the same power just depends on the turbine wheel combo they use?

Check out the GMR TT kit if you haven't already. They are running 2 T61S turbos rated at 700 a piece.

Yes, the 57-trim and 60-trim TO4E wheels are very similar in size and flow within a few pounds of air of each other. So you're talking a 30-40 horsepower difference on a set of twins.

Pretty much any mid sized set of twins will do 600 RWHP on pump gas on an LS1 without breaking a sweat, but you gotta set a real top end goal to know what you need.
