some people get lucky and run 10lbs+/600rwhp with no problems. some dont.
detonation is what usually kills the motors.
if you can drop the compression ratio a full point and run meth, that will significantly reduce your chances of extreme motor ouchieness.

An ATI ProCharger at 8 psi on an LS1 engine that has headers and an exhaust, will generally add 140 rwhp extra on top of the same combination minus the supercharger. 8 psi will put it at 440 to 450 rwhp on my Mustang Chassis Dyno. This is a very safe set-up provided you have a have a good tune. You can get away with an extra 50 rwhp, but I see 500 rwhp as the overall safe limit for the customer to have a good dependable engine. I have one customer whose engine and it's stock bottom end has been at 575 rwhp for several years. I have no idea why it's still together, and he doesn't either... Bob
