proven combo is a 408 (iron) with whatever power adder you want.

if you want your front end to be lighter go with a aluminum 402.

can't go wrong either way.

how fast ya looking to be?

I'd recommend an aluminum LS2 402. No need for the extra weight of the iron. W2W is selling 1250fwhp aluminum LS2's, they can take the power.

don't listen to nasty! its the fues that are talking not him

get an iron block for durability : for instance, if you ever blow a gasket under boost, you'll eath the gasket ( cheap), might ruin the head ( not that expensive to fix), but the iron block won't be as likely to be hurt (compared to an alu. block, which would be expensive to replace). plus in my opinion, they can handle a bit more heat than an alu. block and you could bore it out if you ever wanted to.
