Default what do you think of this setup

Alright guys I finally have some extra money and need you opinion on this setup.

All the motor is running right now
stock 98 bottom end
patriot ls6 "style" Stg 3 heads
Futral F4 cam 226/226 580/580 ON 114+4
Sheet metal beck intake-basically like a spyder short runner intake
A-4 4200 stall
3.23 gears
car already runs 11.6 @ 117 on motor

Alright Im thinking of getting a Pro turbo kit Hot parts and fab up my own intercooler pipes cause I already have the intercooler.

Heres the thing will this work with 10.4 CR and 10 pounds of boost if properly tuned .will 42 pound injectors be enough do feed this combo.

I know this is not the best combo but its what Ive got and have a very, very tight budget Im going to just have enough money to get the turbo parts and get it tuned.

So what do you think will happen, Hopefully it wont blow up

for starters id do rod bolts since 98's are known to have issues. If your set on Patriot heads ge tthe LQ9's to drop the compression so u can run more boost safely. The cam looks good as well as the intake and the rest of the stuff listed. And might want to get 60# injectors so u have more room to grow.

Edit.....if you already have those heads, either just try running them and make due or see if you cant sell them and get some Lq9/Lq4's instead.Good luck, should get you deep in the 10's if setup right.

I already have the 42# injectors also.I will only upgrade if I must.Money is very tight

Its not a necessity now,but may be in the future. You might want to get a fuel pressure regulator to raise the fuel pressure which will help the smaller injectors make more power without maxing out.

42lb injectors are not large enough for 10lbs of boost.

If $$ is tight,be carefull. The 42's won't be enough. Also figure in some fuel pumps.

I've had very bad luck with 98 motor's.They seam very weak when you start putting power to them.I have a few broken connecting rods from them

I know Its going to be on the edge but I have to work with what i got.I may have to bit the bullet and get 72#ers just so I wont have to ever buy injectors again.I already figured on the twin in tanks and one external so thats not an issue.

I think it will be ok hopefully. Is there anything else you guys can suggest?

stall's too big, with the turbo it'll probably slip to 4500 easy.

10.4 compression with 10 lbs will guarantee your motor to go :boom: even on a good tune.

60 lb injectors should be enough along with a fuel pump/regulator

if you're on a budget you really shouldn't be modding there's no such thing as budget when it comes to forced induction, either do it right or don't do it all

I would wait till money is not tight.....if something breaks you'll be in serious trouble since money will be tight........Just be patient, your time will come
