The valve springs arent that good to begin with. Even with a mild amount of boost it is a good idea to replace them. We have had many cars float the stock springs at low psi; sometimes even at 5. We had a built motor that had 918's, but with a .595 lift cam and 13psi they would float. .595 was at the limit for them and then add boost and they are done.

I had valve float at 5400 with 6psi of boost with the sts on my camaro with 23k miles on it. I went with manly valve springs and titainium retainers and meth with 8 psi of boost and no power loss actualy i was still making power at 6300 rpm. So i would say yes get new springs your paying for dyno time why not go ahead and get them so you dont have to do it twice.

Do you know where you encountered valve float before the turbo? ie. did you dyno tune normally aspirated first? It would be really informative to know that you used to float at 5800 or 5900 before the 8psi.
