Default Rearmount people IN!

I am in the process of putting in new headgaskets/clutch/flywheel and updated slave... I have been told that with the mods that I have done to my car to only run 8lbs boost...How much pwer are the rearmounts putting out at 8lbs?
Second question: Since I will have her all tore apart, what other mods can be done to gain the most amount of pwer without busting my bank account?

Go with 6.0 heads to lower compression. And maybe a thicker head gasket.

if you havent already consider some 918 springs, rockers, hardened pushrods and like said above, some LQ9 heads. Then if you wanna spruce it up check out maybe a LPE GT7 cam. Hows it sound with those LTs and !cats

I have a cam in it that was custom ground for a turbo setup and got springs with it...I always thought that heads were not as important with a FI setup do the the air being pushed into the engine..

My buddy had a borla exhaust on his 99 ss and it sounds identical to that. (good i think)

The reason you want to go with the 6.0 heads is not because of better flow but bigger combustion chamber. That means lower compression allowing you to run more boost

so say i put the 6.0 heads on and keep everything else the same...how many more lbs would these allow me to run?

What is the hp/lb on a rearmount?

I had the stock cam, and completely stock valvetrain. I ran 8 psi, and put down 475 rwhp. BUT, your 42# injectors are not going to allow you to make much more than that. I was around 90% duty cycle on my 42's at that point. With enough fuel, you should be able to put down well over 500 rwhp. Good luck.

4.10 gears on FI with a T-56?? is this good? i have be told not to do it and a fidanza fly wheel is great help my car spool faster less weight on the rotating assembly and i would spring for so 60# fuel injectors just in case the boost bug bites not sure about the gaskets or heads

Just getting 60's, you think I would be able to run more boost saftly?

Havent had a problem running the 4.10's and t56 so far(short amount of drive time) why would it be bad?

I found some 6.0 heads at a decent price, right now im just wanting the biggest bang for a buck since i just dropped a couple grand on other upgrades.

Good sugestions so far, but I also recommend Cometic head gaskets. Some people love them some hate'em. I like them and run them on my rearmount car.

My car had 4.10's when I got it, after switching the 3.42's the car was faster.

Turbos work off load, the more load the car get the hotter the ehaust gas temperatures get, which in turn spool the turbo. the 4.10's wont load the car as much as the 3.42's would.

Now that i'm auto i'm converting from 3.50's to 2.70's to help with drivability. Turbo cars love load.

The car just didn't seem to go very fast with 4.10s, I never ran it at the track with 4.10's, but I have with the 3.42's and 3.50's. With the 4.10's I would have been using 5th by the end of the 1/4.

what gear are you guys wanting to be in at the end of the 1/4? Before the turbo i was at the very end of 4th and yes sometimes had to hit 5th....

would lower gears (more load) effect dyno results?
