Just wondering if anyone has gotten rid of the nylon inlet hat and went to a straight filter?? I would see problems with the clearance on mine because it is an 8 rib set up so it gets close to the radiator. I used a filter off of the shelf at pep boys (short clearance one) and it fit great after streatching the RUBBER to 3.75" BUT the heat of the supercharger kinda melted the rubber and i had to take it off!. SOOOO now i need to see if anyone of you have had a success off of a filter on the blower. Here is what mine LOOKED like before i took it off
