Procharger Balancer Confusion???? I am about to purchase the ATI D1SC procharger kit, in order for me to run it out of the box what do I have to do to the balancer..anything? Everyone
is talking about this "Super dampener" that need to be pinned to the crank.
What is included in the Kit and what is going on with the balancer? Thanks!

Everything you need minus the ATI (not ATI Procharger) balancer is included. Since the newer D1 kits are standard with 8 rib setups, you're gonna need to get that balancer. As far as keying, ATI reccomends keying the crank for anything 8PSI and above. They have a kit for this, but I'm unsure if this is part of the package or not. If not, its only about $75 from ATI.

The ATI ProCharger can still be ordered with the 6 rib assembly, although the 8 rib unit is their standard now. Both units are basically the same price through ATI ProCharger, however for the eight rib unit you do have to purchase the balancer from another ATI company, for the eight rib pulley to bolt to the engine. The other company is called ATI Performance Products, which specializes in harmonic balancers.
I currently have the ATI balancer on sale for $435.00 plus shipping. If you purchase your ATI ProCharger through me, you can borrow one of our pinning kits to pin the balancer to the crankshaft, which will save you $110.00.
The eight rib blower belt assembly is much better than the older 6 rib. The two extra ribs give the blower belt much more surface area, greatly reducing any chance of belt slippage. Any new blower belt will stretch, and we recommend that you retighten the new belt after the first half an hour of use. Bob
