Header studs??

Header studs??

With all the extra pressure seems like headers studs would be good to use but I dont see anyone using them?

I am using them...and have been for a while. It makes mounting the headers a breeze, since you can hang them on the studs. Also eliminates the worry of pulling out the threads in the head...they are a bit pricey for the ARP ones, but you can torque the **** out of them!

Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking it would be easier as well not having to try and fine the hole and not crossthreading them. Good point about hanging them as well. Im sure it helps with leaks as well being able to torque them down good. What did you torque them to?

I just bought a set on here for 75 new.. Not too bad for the ease of install. thanks

I just torque them by feel with a 1/4" rachet, almost as tight as you can go with it though. I have pretty beefy 1/2 flanges though.

ya i got mine after i cross threaded a couple bolts.
not sure you need the extra clamping force, but there real nice when putting on and taking off your manafolds.

I ordered mine from Futral on monday. 109 shipped I believe.

I also cross threaded a bolt and lost 4 bolts (yeah I suck) leading to this decision. Running 4 bolts each side now. :o
