Default Opening Chambers on LS1 Heads

Hi all,

Looking at going to a turbo setup and retaining heads and cam (TR224/112)
problem is heads have nearly .060" off them , 10.75:1 (chambers are 61.5cc)
Is it feasible to open the chambers to reduce CR to something more turbo friendly or should I look at thicker gaskets
(using std, would have to go to 0.120" to get down to 9.57:1)

Or are dished pistons the better way to go?

Cheers
John

Dished pistons would be better than thicker head gaskets. Contact ET heads about opening your chambers up. They would know how much material is left. Some of the low compression truck heads are inexpensive and flow well.

Was thinking forged pistons(dished) and rods would be the best bet.
Might just put the std heads back on initialy, and build up a new short block to use with modified heads.
