Would it be possible to plug your old PCM back in to try it, at previous setting you know worked fine ?

old pcm as in stock 98 computer? nah.
its still functioning in the car, but the harness is all cut back that used to hook to the engine.

the accel box is sold long ago, and also had a separate engine harness.

my 'try me' bs3 box is on the way.

did your back fire start when you installed you ls2? (you did switch to the aluminum block right?)

back pressure doesnt seem bad at all 1.3:1 on a 365 cubed engine and a T4 pt88 right.

thats right smokinhawk, i think its good backpressure too!

when the thing started acting up.. can't say exactly.. i was thinking i had a backpressure issue w/76mm / stock coils petering out / some valve float with the wheel iron block motor in a previous dyno session
http://www.fastrides.com/photos/mm/i.../original.aspx

so i put truck coils on and installed new plugs.. then i switched to the 88mm and it ran awesome at the last ls1 tech race... so i figured between the turbo change (lower backpressure), putting the truck coils on, and taking the slp muffler back off that it was fine again.

then well of course i blew it up that day and put the ls2 in a month later. same everything exept for cam sensor, timing cover, block, and stock cam instead of the biggish one that was in there.

i have no idea still, it has gone away significantly when i dropped the boost.. so maybe valvesprings since i changed everything else.

ill run into the problem again when i up the boost, havent been over 17 yet.. 11-17 seem ok. maybe 2mph down trap speed at 17psi but thats really hard to point blame.

My guess is valvesprings since you've ts'd all the elec stuff. Plus you turn the boost down 3 psi and everything is fine. More spring pressure is your road to 1000rwhp.

Good luck. I want to see you post up a 1000rwhp graph soon. You've worked hard for it.

i don't think it is taken care of, but it may just be me. the car runs good and is dependable, but is down about 3psi worth of hp since this ls2 was put in.

i am waiting for w2w to have time for me to drive the car up there and let them look everything over in person.
