Turbo and 500 hp My car is stock as of right now with the exceptionof a couple minor things.
When i start to mod it I know two things i want a turbo and 500 rwhp. which kit and what other engine mods are needed.

STS Turbo kit at 8psi (intercooled) on stock EVERYTHING makes 508rwhp and like 540rwtq according to the dyno's from STS and their dealers.
The Procharger full kit (fuel stuff, tuner, 7psi kit, etc...) cost over $5,700 and should put down around 470rwhp (not sure about the torque...maybe around 400+) according to the dealer I spoke with on stock EVERYTHING.
I priced out the STS 8psi kit...or most any turbo kit really and it works out to about $6k every time. $4,500 for the full kit, fuel stuff, BOV. $1,150 for the FMIC and $350 for a dyno tune.
IMO, both kits would be fairly "easy" to install. The Turbo doesn't take power to make power...better gas mileage and more horsepower as the end result. You may just have spend a few hundred more on the turbo. I'm also torn between the 2 choices. It's a difficult one to make but in the end, you'll be VERY fast either way and that's the goal/purpose of doing it in the first place. Good luck
