Default oil return line size

I don't have a oil return line yet for my t76 turbo but I have the engine taken apart for my new camshaft, and am getting ready to put everything back together, but I want to drill and tap the oil pan before I put it back together, what size hole do you guys usually drill and tap for the oil return? Thanks.

I'm using 8an, I think you'll see a lot of votes for 10an

what size pipe thread fitting is that. You need to adapt the an to npt to screw it in to the oil pan.

from using the search feature I seem to have come up with the conclusion that I want to drill and tap a 3/8 npt. Is this correct?
