Default H&C suggestion for Procharger C6

Looking to add a head & cam to my Procharger C6, can anyone recommend/suggest a blower cam profile & heads. Currently @ 560rwhp/501rwtq at 7PSI, I have the P1SC, ECS Alky kit, Kooks LT headers, Borla Stinger (Sport). What should I expect in terms of rear wheel gains by adding a H&C??

Any info is greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

I don't know much but you probably want a larger combustion chamber so you can run more boost (obviously) and I think a lot a people run ported lq9 heads with FI

Go with 72-74cc heads from either 215 cc ET heads or 205cc AFR. I would pick a cam with 230/236 114 LSA with .585 .595 lift. U should be looking at 80-110rwhp 40-70rwtq with 10-12psi.

With the P-1SC1 you are more than likely going to be maxing out the blower with adding heads and a camshaft to the LS2 engine. You may have to send it in and have it upgraded into a D-1SC, which runs $1,200.00.
You may also be looking into forging the bottom end of the engine, as you're going to be pushing the stock bottom end past what it can normally handle. I would suggest either just adding a blower friendly camshaft to your current combination, or pull the engine out and have it built with a forged bottom end. Bob

Bob,

Thanks for the advice! Quick question for you, would I lose low-end TQ by swaping the P1 to the D1 unit at my present setup (w/o the H&C)?

Not really, I can't tell the difference between them. Either one is going to erupt your tires into a cloud of smoke. Bob

Anyone have an opinion on this particular cam - 208/230 .554 .546 121 LSA? How well would it work on my force induction setup?

Thanks!

that would be considered a wussy cam, especially for an LS2.

Go with a minimum of 230 intake duration, and just under .600 lift as a starting point

Thanks Bob & Nine Ball!

The cam was suggested by a big tuner shop in Indiana and used on their C6 TT setups...geewiz, cam selection is a tough biz for us newbies.

Okay...other recommendations by tuners I've contaced:

232/236 114 LSA
232/234 115 LSA
224/228 114 LSA

Anyone care to comment?

Cheers,
Richard
