Ok need some motor upgrading advice. I got gmr twins on order. Might want to upgrade my stock except for cam 99.
What is my main benefit from going up to say a 382 from my 346?Will I just gain torque off boost.Will it make that much more hp?
Will it spool the turbos up quicker?
Also I have seen some forged rod,piston stock crank turbo cars on the boosted list put out some great times and seem to do it from reading here and there with pretty good reliabilty on the stock crank.
Obviously going stock crank is a lot cheaper than all forged internals.
Also what extra maching is needed for your basic 382 kit or is it 383..?
Can I just throw them in or do things have to be clearanced ,things have to be bored.My engine only has 12,000 miles on it currently.
Is the ls6 block worth it over my ls1 block.
And don't really think want an iron block prefer aluminum and can't afford an ls2 after buying the twins!
