Default Blow off valve question

is it a good idea to put a BOV on a supercharger?? (LT1) if so where would it go any pics would be a BIG help

Superchargers kinda need a BOV, other wise you run the risk of folding over your throttle body plate if you get off the gas on high boost. It needs to go between the MAF and the blower output, connect the BOV reference line to the brake vacumn line (above steering shaft on drivers side).

I thought they use a bypass valve...

Since the charger is controller by engine speed... when you lift off the pedal and engine speed decreases .. so does you boost #

BOV=Turbo
Bypass Valve=Supercharger

Learned that the hard way a long time ago

Rec'ed bypass valves for your supercharged ride, Vortech MONDO bypass, Or the ATI Race Ready Bypass.

BOV's chatter bad on a s/c'ed application.
