Default which heads?

hey guys goin turbo this summer and i was wondering what heads to use? should i go with the ls6 heads or just get my stock heads ported? which will bring down the compression? or should i get the ls6 heads ported?

It looks like you have a '96 with an LT1, from your signature. The LS6 heads will not fit on an LT1 based block. You could go with AFR heads with a large combustion chamber, and shoot for a much lower 8.5/1 compression ratio for the turbo.
You will want a forged bottom end if you are shooting for a higher boost level. Bob

get 6.0L heads for less compression / the combustion chamber is 70cc on the 6.0L / stock cfm is similar to the ls6 heads so you will get more cfm and a lower comp ratio for few more psi . also try thicker head gaskets and head studs

To lower your compression without breaking the bank buy a set of lq4 or lq9( 6.0L ) truc heads run a search they flow the same as ls6
Ls6 have a smaller combustion chamber for N/A engines
Lq4/Lq9 have larger {70cc} if ported it will be larger but better for Forced Induction
PatriotPerformance has ported 6.0l heads checkthem out
If budget allows get AFR {any choice of combustion chamber } or any Aftermarket head with a thicker deck for better sealing
