I've been very pleased with Jose and Forced Inductions and will continue to get all my needed turbo parts from them. Glad to have them as a sponsor.

IF you send us your units, the DBB CHRA's, full maching to clearence/radius them would be about $1835.

Hey Jose

How does the higher altitude affect turbos?

I live at a physical altitude of 5500 ft (higher were I actually live, 6500 or so) but the DA in the summer averages 8000-9000ft.

Do the turbos still flow the same?

Yes the turbos will still flow the same since they are wastegated controlled, as long as the turbos are large enough. But to achieve those same pressures they will have to spin quite a bit harder to still pressurize to X amount of psi. The downside to this is, the altitude has an effect on where you lay on the compressor map, so unfortunately the turbos will be blowing hotter air 9 times out of 10.

I'll share my experience with elevation, since I live in WY (5000 ft) and spend several months out of the year in Phoenix AZ (1200 ft). When I'm in Phoenix, I see about 7-8 psi on the gauge with a .5 bar wastegate sping and around 150kPa on the scanner at full boost. When I got back to WY, I only see about 6-7 psi on the gauge and 125-128 kPa in the scanner. I have to make about 2 Lbs more boost at altitude to get the same manifold pressure as Phoenix.
