Default LS2 intake + boost...

been thinking of switching to an LS2 intake(port matching it) and LS2 90mm throttle body when I build my new motor.. Wonder how that will do with boost compared to an LS6 intake and stock 78mm throttle body....Anyone tried it???

See my reply to this exact thread in the external section... basically.. I dont think it matter much under boost...however if it is a 15+ lb application, i'd think the 1 peice ls6 may be more of a safety net.

The LS2 intake and NW 90 TB are probably even up to the LS6 BBK 80 TB setup I ran before from low to mid range rpms. I suspect the new combo has some minor advantages as you cross over 5500+ rpms because of the smoother transitions that they could get with the multi piece design. But I've never seen it on the dyno so I don't have poof of the SOTP ratings.

The LS2 intake had no problems at 15lbs at the track or at 17lbs for some street tuning. It should have another "solid" performing year coming up.

Well as far as Ive read over the years the LS6 with boost is more than enough for an 8 second pass and 1200 horsepower. Just ask the OHIO BOYS.

There are a number of turbo cars running LS2 intake manifolds and TB's putting out very stout numbers.
