I wouldn't rule out if it's false until you swap in some really high octane fuel and see if that affects the timing. Maybe even temporarily lower the timing by the amount of KR and run some 100 octane. If you still get knock, it may be false.

But, don't just take his word for it. (I'm sure he means well.) With our mods,we have to take on a lot of ownership for the changes we make. You can't close your eyes and home a tuner or mechanic has it all right.

its the way the knock occurs....like if im just cruising itll just come on @ say 1700rpms out of the blue. i was running a sub 11:1 AF and ~7 psi.i think im going to try adding some Sonoco 100 or something just to make sure,exactly how does a tuner adjust the knock sensativity?

There are tables that affect how quickly the PCM adusts for percieved knock, how quickly it regains timing advance after retarding for knock, at what level to make the noise floor to consider it knock, etc.

ah ok,someone mentioned that it was done to the wiring or sensors themselves but that didnt make sense to me,i figured it was something in the tune.I was having issues not making full boost anyways so i swapped the eboost vacuum routing to type 2 and now i cant keep couplers on the car,its like a totally different car and i hadnt gotten used to driving it the old way,lol
