Timing question...

We built a LS1 347ci forged with 8.5-1 compression ratio.

When running under boost (okay .. only 6-7# of boost) we got the timing up to 32degree advance at 5000-6000 and still doesn't get any Knock retard... on pump gaz.

I really wonder at which point we will hit some knock with our setup!!!!

Can this be normal????

i would say u are right around the point that you will start to see knock. ofcourse, how rich/lean you are is also a factor though.
you'll see knock b4 the gasket goes...def..lol

It depends on the heat factor. Loading the engine down out on the road in high gear for a long time period could very well push it into knock and detonation. How long it lasts before that point depends on heat management.
