Default crank case pressure problem ???

I was finaly getting my car tuned on thursday and I ran in to a little problem... The oil seal in my timeing cover pushed out and made quite a mess. Has any one else had this problem ?? Any advice on what to do to fix this would be great. I have the stock ls1 pcv system and I'm not running a catch can. Thanks in advance.

We haven't seen the seal in the timing cover get pushed out at my shop, normally the dipstick pops up first before anything else goes. Add a breather to the valve cover where the oil fill is located, and it should take care of the problem. Bob

you need to put a 1 way valve in line with your pcv valve and add a breather MINIMUM.

i posted a thread about the 'non' valve that gm put in the newer f bodies right around here.

I ordered a one-way valve from Kirban Performance that the turbo buicks use. It came on the 86-87's. Their number is 216-766-1611. The part number is 6769 and it is 20.00.

Thanks for the info guys! I've been thinking of this idea. On the air filter duct that straps to the front of the blower there is a tube that comes off the bottom that I have blocked off with a hose and a bolt with RTV. If I were to plum the pcv hose that goes in to the front of the intake in to that nipple on the front of the blower with a catch can in line, useing the blower to suck out the crank case pressure. How well would this work or not.
