i voted large single turbo.... twins are overrated, and it overcomplicated everything underhood... you're not going to go any slower with a single...

I vote on the Procharger, but not a D1SC or F1. NO NO NO NO MY FRIEND. Nothing smaller than an F3R, There is a gentlemen over on LS1GTO.com running one on a Monaro and seeing 941 rwhp on pump gas. Under the hood that thing looks wicked. You look in a see this huge supercharger!!! WICKED. It looked a whole lot meaner than any twin setup I've ever seen.

Better be a huge single for that kind of motor.....I was going that route with a single gt42rr ballbearing garret and decided on twins, due to spooling to fast, and running out of breath to early.Either way its gonna be awsome, you just wanna maybe consider some streetability and gas milage with a turbo, keeping it under 3k(OUT OF BOOST).

The C5-R and LS7 blocks are totally different. Considering how absurdly expensive the C5-R block is ($5,000 - $6,000) I think a strong argument can be made for the Warhawk.

besides the price what would be different? The warhawk would be an exellent buy for the price. I think that the deck height on the warhawk is different from the c5r block as well so to put the intake on you would need world's spacers.

Another option is to sell the low mile LS7 and invest into a Warhawk block and heads. Do the 427 the right way With the 6-bolt block, strap a F2 or F2-R on it and call it done

To address an earlier question: my C5R 427 running LS7 heads with an F1C Procharger made 788 RWHP at only 8 pounds of boost on pump gas and no meth. Based on this, I have to guess that 12 PSI with alcohol injection would be good for 900+.

What's the difference between the C5R, C6R, LS7, and Warhawk blocks?

He's not looking to make 1800whp or anything. I'm sure a LS7 block could hold 1200whp?

Both the C5R and C6R are race blocks incorporating a number of upgrades. The C5R block has been available to mere mortals for several years at around $6500 a copy, while the C6R piece is a Katech-only secret item.

The LS7 block does have the 4.125" bore, but otherwise is much closer to normal LS2 specs.

The Warhawk is an aftermarket item that apperas to offer the strength of the C5R at a lower cost.

Plain and simple just buy the APS twin turbo kit from australia and make sure you put the largest turbos on that fit and if you got the bucks have your car shipped to Speed Inc for their twin turbo kit that will make a little more power they even have two models a street kit and a race kit.

Oh let me add to this just like slowhawk said the factory ls7 sleeves are not very strong and should not be used for forced induction so either resleeve the block or put the aps kit on it and run fairly low boost so your rwhp does not go over 700 rwhp and you should be fine with the factory sleeves. Katech has a lot of experience with the factory ls7 sleeves and have not had any fail, but their using them NA with power levels up to around 600 rwhp.
