Default Do I need AIR?

I'm in the middle of putting my vortech head unit mounting brackets on, and I noticed that my car's AIR pump inlet valve was ripped off and the hose was missing, because I bought my car used, I'm assuming the previous owner deleted the AIR in what you wouldn't call the "cleanest" way. Well, since my car's AIR is already disabled and it's a pain in the *** to relocated the AIR pump, can I just deleted my AIR pump all together? My headers are Pacesetter long tubes with emissions hookups, would that cause a problem? Would I have to plug them up? thanks

Get rid of that junk. I would have dumped it a long time ago. You just have to put a block off plate on..

www.ls1speed.com is where I got mine. I just deleted mine this weekend. If you remove the actual pump and not just the tubing (like I did for the time being) you will get an SES light. I removed all the tubing, put on the block off plates, and no codes were thrown. It just blows air out into nothing for 2 minutes and makes a neat little "pop" now that the tubing isn't on. Way easier to do your plugs now too.
