What was Speed's secret to keeping the car from blowing off the tires on the dyno. We can't get mine to stick to the dyno after about 810 - best was 875 smoking the tires? We have tried 2 friends in the back end, tying down the wheelie bars. Any suggestions - except rolling the car almost off the back side of dyno - we are not that crazy about dyno numbers.

Well I checked the tire pressure when I got back to the shop. They were at 16 psi. Jim also had four straps on the rear end. I was changing the coils and tripped over one of the straps on the front! Holy Sh--! were they tight! I think my car is two inches longer now!

to date we have not had a single car spin the tires on the dyno, including our 900rwhp shop car on 17's,Jims 900rwhp tt lt1 car 0n 17's,and my 1000rwhp tt cobra on 17's,and obviously Andys car either, which is wicked by the way. There really is no secret to this and i find it very amusing every time I read about cars spinning on the dyno.
Congrats Andy its been a long time coming, gladto see only minor problems on such a wild setup

navydavidss- I noticed somewhere on one of your graphs that you were only seeing 110 MPH- I believe you had 3.73 rear and 28 in tires- so you should be 140 MPH+ @ the top of the pull- is the dyno operater in drive??? I have had 1050 + on our dynojet numerous times and have not had any wheelspin issues, including 800 hp and 1500 lb ft diesels (with wicked spool-up) Just wondering...

yes- i just looked at your graph again navydavidss and it is only showing 100 mph- either you have severe trans slip (doubtful since you've already been down the track) or they are trying to dyno in 2nd gear...??? Your numbers will most likely go up with more load (and the tire slip issue may go away)? Worth asking about- i'm not there but something doesn't look right

Andy, thank you for the opportunity, and your patience. Lets get the changes made, and break the dyno

That's a good question, what are your fuel requirements?? Please don't say 93 octane. That would be even more amazing.

I think my car once saw 160mph on the Speed Inc. dyno, after I changed the converter and removed the 4.10's (saw 137mph before).

Congrats again. Are these the new Cometics that have some sort of fire ring for nitrous?

C16. My car is a 2002 bought in 2001. It has 7000 miles on it. I don't get to drive it that much. I would never run pump gas, too much crap being sold. I'm sure I don't need that much octane with the 18lbs of boost, but I have two 55 gallon drums that I need to start burning.

I'll end up using 110 on the street and C16 at the track.

Nice results...I run stock MLS gaskets at over 17 lbs with no problems. That was on the dyno.

On the track I've hit 16 lbs and 8100 rpm's with no problems.

Good luck that thing should be well into the 8's on 18 lbs of boost. I'd say 8.50's or so if you're at a pig weight like mine ~3450 race.
