STS on stock bottom end???

Will a STS kit at 5 lbs. of boost run safely on a completely stock (I mean down to original exaust and factory paper air filter)98 ls1? If so what is the highest psi I can safely push?

Also, I am trying to decide on either the sts or a procharger kit, which one is better for my application (on low psi) I want to try to keep it as stock as possible so whenever I decide to sell the car I can take the system off and it will look like it has never been touched. Basically I dont want to touch the insides of the motor, just add on...

with a good tune 8 would be fine....my bottom end is stock...yes including the stock exhaust and i am running 8psi...with plans of 9
