Default Pump gas limits?

What do you guys think about this? I'm not sure how to tell where my pump gas limit is, I have plenty of fuel, no methonal but the biggest FMIC I could get on my car.

408ci, approx 8.5:1CR with my current head gaskets
twin mp 70s
fuel system will handle anything i can throw at it
bigstuff3 w wbo2

Right now I don't have a electronic boost controller and I'm thinking I want to just throw some 15 springs in the gates, what do you guys think about that with no knock sensing in BS3?

I think you will be fine on 15 lbs and no meth, Jake is running 8.5:1 cr and is running pump up to 24 lbs. plus your fmic is bigger than the ones on my work trucks.

I guess what do all of you think of 15 lbs on 8.5:1 cr with no meth and iat's right around 120 degrees and lower?

What are you running at right now? I'm assuming that 91 octane is your best pump fuel out there.

I'd probably run 9-11lbs springs and then creep up on it with the electronic boost controller. Always better to take steps 1lb at a time and then turn it down a pound when you rattle.

We ran 13lbs be fine last year on the 422ci with a conservative tune on Sunoco 94 octane for cruising and drag radial passes at the street. There was probably room for 15lbs but with a limited number of places to enjoy it on I-75, we just didn't get around to it.

I've gone 16psi on my 383 with pump gas and conservative tune.

Well for the price of a EVC or like device I could get a kick *** methonal kit and be pretty safe.

I think I'll fill it up with 94 (there is one place here that has it on the pump) and go with 15 springs in the gates for now.

with 8.7:1 compression I can only manage 12-13 psi without alky, but it's also 110+ In cooler weather i'll probably be pushing 14-15, darn crappy 91 octane.

I keep the boost set at 12 psi to play it safe on 91, I also spray a little meth/water to increase my safety margine.

A few weeks ago I was making 15psi at 6000rpm with my YSi, 8.7:1 CR and intake temps hitting 160degF + at the track on our 97 RON pump fuel only, and ran 11.05 @ 138mph, also with a slightly leaking BOV.
Pump gas isnt so bad.....except the price here.

At best our 97 RON would be equivalent to your 93 PON fuel, although I wouldnt be surprised if our's is worse quality.
