Default Dry sump

Hey guys sry i wasnt sure where to put this considering it has to do with forced induction and internal engine. But how many of you guys out there are running a dry sump oiling system. i was going to buy the one from W2W motorsports. I figured since i wil be investing so much money in the car that i wouldnt want any oiling issues down the line. Just wondering if anyone out there is evan running what W2W sells on there site, or if htere is something better. thanx

That is a very pretty penny my friend. What amount of boost and hp are you expecting to be running? I am looking at an 800hp boosted LS1 and I have been told that I will be fine with just a ported LS6 pump and PVC system. I'm sure some other's will chime in here for you though.

see thats what i was wondering becaue my goal is at least 800hp at the wheels with tiwn turbo and forged ls2 set up from w2w with lq9 heads to name the larger components. I was just curiouse i mean that would be great if thats all i needed, deff save a few thousand there lol. for boost i was jsut playing aroud with 20 psi not sure htough until shes actually done if she makes the power i want with less then i wont push so high. I just dont want to one day taek my car to a road coarse oe someitng for the hell of it and go around a fast corner and have my enge starved of oil b/c the pick up tube isnt getting any oil. now i dont live near any road coarses but i dont want anything liek that to happen.

If you have the money a dry sump is a very nice investment that will help your car, but keep in mind that most dry sump pumps are supposed to be rebuilt like once a year from the research I have done.

I think a complete dry sump setup will cost about $3500.

Including the dry sump from the LS7? I was under the impression that they were very durable due to their use in many different forms of racing.

Either way, will be interesting to see how the new LS7 dry sump holds up over the long haul.
