thanks Chris.
I'm a regular here, probably the best source of LS1 info around.

Stock T56 until it breaks, and the car drives fine. Its a little noisy due to the rose jointed 4-link setup, but apart from that its great !

My LT1 has the stock PCM, pump gas, with no Methanol injection and I did 590 on a Mustang dyno on a hot day, so easily over 600 RWHP on a dynojet on a cooler day.

If I had a FAST system, or ran methanol injection, I could easily do more. I just wanted something I don't have to mess with further and can still fill up at the pump with as before.

Looks like a skateboard ramp?!

What would a Supra run with almost 1400hp?

8.60's @ 170+ with the stock 6 speed and stock IRS. The auto cars run in the 7's.

I'm currently running 91 octane, I have 526 rwhp and 510 rwtq through a mustang dyno with an afr of 12.9 and have been wondering if I can expect a long life out of my ls1 engine???? or will the low octane contribute to an early death??

I wouldnt run a supercharged engine @ 12.9 A/F but some people do it without problems just requires a LOT of monitoring and tweaking of the tune based on the weather.

What seems to be the problem with 12.9 ABeasst? I ask beacuse the weather here in El Paso, Tx gets really hot sometimes and can change with a blink of an eye..

What's your timing? I run 16* with 93 octane and 12.5afr.

19* was the first that showed KR on the dyno, and it was a hot day. I feel pretty comfortable at 16.

BTW, at 16*, I made 513rwhp/460tq. You're above me in power, under me in octane, and a tad leaner. I'd keep a close eye on it for KR :Ohnoes:

oh well then I wouldnt worry about it. The reason I said I wouldnt run a S/C engine at 12.9 is b/c if the weather changes you would end up having spark knock which will kill your engine.

If you're tune is good, weather changes are handled fine. I'm sure you know that, I just don't want people thinking that weather changes are a reason to be worried about their FI setup... they just need to know how to be prepared and everything is good.

That is nice for a Supra but absolutely useless to me or any LS1 powered vehicle we do.Has a power range of 1krpm .

Now back on topic. Most people are happy with 500-600rwhp due to the lack of problems they would have with the setup. When pushing the power up,broken parts, unreliability starts to set in.

The car made 822RWHP on 93 OCT at 14PSi. I had not had any problems until I took it to 18psi and it went boom. Compression was 10:1.

It should be noted that it was a $30,000 engine. Not your everyday run of the mill. I know everyone calls BS, but what are you going to do.
