Rotating Assembly For Turbo car hey guys as most of you know my engine is down. Anyway I was told that eagle H beam rods with L19 bolts aren't strong enough for what I am doing. The new setup I am looking to put down around 700 rwh and more in tq. Do you guys think that 6.0 crank in iron block with rods above and weisco pistons are up to it? Would appreciate any feed back. TKS
www.gofaststuff.com think they have a assembly with L19 that will take 1300-1500

I'm running some $275 eagle i-beam SBC rods, used diamond pistons and a stock crank.
My stock motor held up for quite some time at the 600+ rwhp, rod bolt stretch and valve float got me in the end though. Motor developed a slight tick from rod knock.

If the pistons are a No2 or FI piston then they are fine, If the Rods are LS1 Specific then they are fine and the L19's arent a problem either. Block and Crack, again fine.

If you have a good tune in the car those rods should be fine for what you want. It's when things go wrong that those high dollar pieces start to shine. There are a few stock bottom end cars getting right around those numbers on a good tune already.

Thats exactly what im running......
9.2@150.... @3500lb race weight that over 900rwhp........ it can take it........ stock crank also....
today I decided to order me a 6.0 iron block from GM. I am putting together a 402. Also I am sending my 241 heads to Brian at TEA. He is going to cnc them new valves and make my heads 72 cc chambers said it would work really well for me. What do you all think?

That sounds like a good plan..... just be ready to go with a bigger turbo when you really plan to push the setup because that 76mm turbo is going to be to small..... i know i was there.....
We tried with my GT42-76 on my 370 and it was done by about 14-15 psi... 200+ degree intake temps..... so just keep an eye out.
Will a 88 fit that kit u have now???
Who do u have in mind to build the motor??

76 took some modifying to fit so don't know if 88 will. I was running and holding 18 pounds with 347 so I don't know. One of my good friends is building it. He builds motors and race cars. This is not a race car. This is my every day driver.

I hear it holding 18psi on 347 but the difference in flow with a 370ci motor and a 402-8ci motor is a huge difference for a 76mm turbo.
Just be careful and moniter your air temps when you up the boost.
