with stock motor and setup,..What would the differnce be going from d1sc to a p1sc

Default with stock motor and setup,..What would the differnce be going from d1sc to a p1sc

I was wondering if there would be a large difference going from a D1 to a P1.

If I have a stock motor,...8 rib set-up D1, both at 10psi boost.....and I switch the head unit to a P1,...would there be a large noticable differance?

Would I lsoe alot of power? Does the D1 drive differntly from the P1.

You will lose a couple PSI with the same pulleys, On a stock engine you could probably pulley up the P1 to do the same safe HP as the D1. The P1 will boost up a little quicker in the mid range but you probably wouldnt even notice it..

Going from D1 to P1 with same pulley will net you a loss of 2-3 psi less of boost.

Okay,

So if I switch out the Pulley to get that boost back to 10psi......would there be much difference then?

Will I be losing much power?

I went from a P1 to a D1 and went to a larger pulley even and picked up 40 rwhp and 50 rwhtq. The difference was night and day-the D1 just made more power and torque everywhere-I don't know why you would bother switching?
