well i got the info form a very reputable guy. also i have seen a sweedish built 2.0ltr ford Cosworth (actually 1960cc) spool a T88 up to full boost (2.6bar) by 6k!!! sooo if a little 2.0ltr cossy can spool that massive turbo up im sure an Evo could get the samller and ball bearing 42 up sooner!!!!

Chris.

What those rally cars do with some big *** turbos on a small 2.0 L is simply amazing. Of course, they also have full on, paddle shifted sequential transmissions that allow them to stay pretty well spooled up (especially when you're shifting in a few milliseconds and faster than the majority of the F1 teams).

No. By retarding it, you're creating an artificial load (or raw fuel dump) which when it hits the headers burns there.

the cossy was actually a track day car, but a very mad one! lol and he was using a manual shift so the shift times would be very slow! dotn get me wrong the guys are one of the best YB (cossy) tuners in the world, but this was far from small turbo maximum responce of the WRC guys!

when you looked at the dyno graph (sorry it was in a mag! ) the torque just flattend straight out after 6K so it was the motors own work that got it there!

as for the shift speeeds of the F1 guys, i think they still have the crown for that! but the WRC gusy are very close behind!

thanks Chris.

Also my dsm software has both antilag and two step launch. The antilag does let you build sick boost on the line. They should have this feature in hp tuners and other programs but dont' think they do.Also should be able to do a two step in software. My dsm program also has no lift to shift but requires a clutch wire mod. This all gets you off the line with big boost, the 2.4 and flywheel let the turbo spin up quick and the ball bearing design and the no lift to shift keeps you spooled up nicely.
Being able to rev the car a bit higher might also help you stay spooled up depending on your engine and combo.

No Lift To shift find a program that allows you to run that when shifting, 2 step it and setup Anti Lag for the launch.

My freind Makes 25PSI on his 2.0 GT35 GSX ON HIS LAUNCH!!!!!!!!

Befor the car moves it has that much boost, its Non ball bearing ill add

But this should be only used for drag racing

And Since you such a "Sissy" and wont power shift, ANTI LAG Is only ok for drag racing other wise it will kill your turbo faster.

on the 134" ecotecs we could build 32# on the line and hold 50 thru the run I guess thats a lot of boost i would retard the timing to build boost on the starting line
