I love it when someone so clearly states something that I've believed for a long time. If someone has such "proof", I would be very interested in seeing it.

I'm doing my best to keep this discussion technical, not emotional, but I would like to point out something. Lots of people say that you don't need a big cam for FI, or big heads for that matter. However, when you go to the racetrack, check out the turbo cars that are in the 7's and 8's. Every one of them has a big lumpy cam and huge heads.

My first question is........ is the 76 coming off the car???
If no then dont even think about going with a 408......
How fast do you really want to go???
It can be done with smaller cubes and the $$$$ for a 408 can be spent in other area's

Oh i forgot im 38 cubes smaller then a 408 and i run a 224/222 .581/.581 114+2..... works for me....

probly plan to pick up a T88 I know that oneday ill slap my self for haveing to build two motors im the type of person that likes to go big or go home after all the stuff i went though when i was getting start

Stenod is in the 8s with a small cam they most know something we dont and it has a tiny cam...anyway i dont know enough to argue however the kid asked what cam would be best prety much and im sure hes not going for 8s so i figuerd id let him know you get a big cam youll make great power and loose about 100 miles pertank is that nessacery?? or get a small cam and make great power and save gas millage and be DL and make some money off people just my thoughts...i used to have a big cam in my car NA i loved it however it maid no power down low it was a 232 238 595 605 on 114..... once i hit 4500 rpms it ripped ...again just my thoughts
