Intercooler piping?

My intercooler piping is 3.5" and the 90mm TB is gonna require 4" so would it hurt my performance to put a step up in the piping before the TB? Or would it be better to use a 75mm TB and keep the 3.5" piping all the way?

Its fine using the 90mm tb and the 3.5" pipe. Our kit uses 3" pipe and we have made 750+ rwhp with it, so i dont think there is a flow issue there.

I just used the 3 inch pipe for the intercooler and used a stepped silicone coupling.

Just to confirm, my friend has Twin T76s and makes over 1400 rw... and has a 3", not 3.5 or 4" cold pipe to his TB... Ill post a pic later.

exactly anything bigger than the TB throat which is only 75mm stock wont improve performance at all.

Wasn't looking to improve anything just not hurt it. Don't want to get rid of the TB I have and get a 75mm if I don't have to.
