Default intercooler piping to tb

i have the rubber piece that EPP supplies with their kit but i have a GMPP manifold coming in with intakeelbows elbow. but it will locate the tb up some so i need a new "filler". should i use a 3" 90 degree aluminum pipe or should i use the step hose at the 3" to a 4" to mate up to the NW tb i have.

sorry crappy cell phone picture once again but it gets the message across
