The increase in power from n2o is due to a chemical reaction not from forced induction, just because the tank pressure is 1000psi doesn't mean your intake pressure is increased enough to make a difference. The volume just isn't there to produce that result...I don't wanna clutter up his thread so if you wanna talk about it more PM me.

actually it COMES OUT at zero psi.

thats why its so cold.. the pressure change from 1000 to almost zero.

if the air was not moving air on its own, you would just have a nitrous fog or cloud sitting there.

but in anycase, this point is totally off topic. who cares what the hell you call it.

bowtieman81:
i would seriously keep the turbo setup... you spent the money (that you wont get all back).. you have it working now (and that took some good effort).. and obviously, you didnt have a problem running on a stock shortblock before...

just run it with a new shortblock, so its just like you had it... but keep the power down for now.
later on, you can push it as hard as you dare and get a new shortblock afterward.
with the other motor, you're either counting on spraying more, or making the engine more radiacal.. thats your limitation.
with the turbo setup, your main limitation is how much fuel system you have, and how much you dare on that shortblock...making the power isnt an issue.. and the car is overall more enjoyable to drive...
by that i mean it has the high power number there whenever you want it... it idles better.. you dont have to run big gears (or stall) to compensate for the cam.. that means nicer RPMs when crusing around...
so you have a nicer, and possibly faster, car that you'll enjoy more.

thats just my thoughts on the subject.

Um.... N/A is lame compared to Turbo.... and to get the turbo feel with N/A you have to use nitrous.... then.... you have to refill the bottle....

Just get the turbo setup running on the stock block and save your pennies to build a forged short block...

I agree, I was going to do the heads/cam setup with a 150 shot.

Cost is similar after you buy headers, etc. And you got to spend $50 bucks a week to fill it up. Nope, I'm passing up the Nitrous too. I don't want to be constantly using it. I'm expecting around 550whp. Forged bottom end with a turbo. We're talking 650+.

Turbo all the way.
