Turbo questions..
Turbo questions.. I work at Cummins Engine Company, and i was wondering something. We have a division for Turbos inside where I work, and i can get a good sized one for cheap (i would think). And i was wondering if a turbo for a diesel is any different than one for car like mine? (LT1) And if so, if i just ordered a turbo kit with the piping, like from Ohio Forced Inductions..ect., could that piping fit that turbo. Kind of like a one size fits all type thing..? Like to say everything matching up just right when it comes to the turbo bolting on right to the piping, and so forth..???
im a diesel mechanic and i have checked into that too on the big diesels like detroit and big cumming engines the turbo housing are huge but the wheels are smaller so yes you can use them but the ones for gas engines are better for what your looking for if you do use a diesel turbo i would get one off like the dodge trucks or something smaller like that,

they noramally say go for a diesel turbo thats on a engine twice the size of the engien you plan on running. thats what i herd anyway.
also the is some diffrence betwwen the materials used for the exhaust housing on a diesel to a gas setup. but if you can get a turbo cheap and dont plan on using a 2step or antilag you will be fine.
