Default Heads Lifting....

Assuming the motor is tuned properly and there is no detonation about how many psi can a studed head take before it lifts?
I was looking to run 18-20 psi with twin super 62-1's

*****I tried searching but it timed out 5 times and i gave up

i want to sat away from 1/2 studs as many professional engine builders claim it will weaken the deck on a standard sleeve motor, MID's are a diffrent story.

L19's might be a choice.

It has nothing to do with boost psi but cylinder psi, as in 1000+ PSI that causes the heads to lift. Boost is a horrible way to measure power. Your heads might lift at 20psi and someone elses might lift at 30psi.

From what i've read unless you are going over 1000hp it's usually not much of a concern.

Yep... some guys here have seen high 20's and no lift. I choose to use the ARP L19 head studs that allow to be tq'd down more then reg ARP 2000's.
