I'm saying it like that for comedic value Seriously though, such a minor clearance issue is not a problem, just something you'd take 2 minutes to take care of. You want to talk clearance issues? You should see what I had to do to make the Raymer/Stainless Works kit fit

Its quite possible you'd be one of the few or even the only one to have an issue in that area, while others may have problems elsewhere. I've seen engines sit in the engine bay a full 1" different from car to car!
Don't fret tapping the pan, its not that bad. Just take it slow and be careful. If possible, do it off the car so you can flush out the shavings.
