yes, but this will be with a street setup, blistien shocks, lowered, dr's in the rear and 17x9.5 or w/e front i have by then. either way itll be a true street car and then once in a while to the local test and tune at the track with friends

well my short term goal (3-4 mos) is to do a 10.2 or lower. I'm lowered and i run on 17 in radials, I'm a street car. its gone 11.0's with less hp than i have now.

I just wanna be able to hang with the faster cars that are around here now.

ya thats what im getting at, i want it to be as streetable as possible, run 10s and then trap and hang with some of the bigger local guys

Next time I'm at the track, if I have enough time, I'll have a go with my regular Bridestone road tyres. Just for a laugh..

I'd say squeezing a 10 out of them will be very difficult, but it would be cool to be able to manage it.

We're lucky enough to have Sunoco 94 available at all their stations around here. It's been good enough for 10+ slips in the 10-10.2s range. It doesn't require a ragged edge tune to run pump gas for low 10.x at 136+ mph on a MT Drag Radial when you build your setup to include that goal.

There's nothing crazy with the setups on my car. I've run it with a 9.3:1 422ci LS1 in 2005 and a 8.5:1 402 LS2 2006. Both engines ran similar times and MPH with both of them tuned at 13-15lbs of boost and 16 degrees on the 422 and 18 degrees on the 402 for the timing. Everything on the same TTi race kit and Innovative 80 turbo. The stock PCM with HPT for the tuning and Mototron 60s feeding the engines were enough to get the job done. Naturally all the other supporting mods are in there to handle the power with room to grow (rearend, trans, wheels, brakes, cage,...).

The same tune/gas was used to drop the kids off for school, drive to work, play on the street and race at the track all in the same day. The only changes required to handle those different driving conditions was how quickly the foot went down and how far it went down.

The 402 has even run at 17lbs for street duty/tuning in cool fall air, but I couldn't get a clean pass at the track because of the MAF maxing out. Everything looked good on the street but that is the max that I felt comfortable pushing on pump gas. So it's on to 3-bar and meth for the fun this year.
