m6 or th400 for D1SC???
I guess I can get used to cruising around in equivalent to my current 4th gear since both are a 1:1 ratio... Ehhh =)

I want to build a weekend warrior that gets driven on the street with a turbo 400 or glide.
and with a supercharger setup, KP's converter sounds like the best compromise, something that is still somewhat tight yet flashes up when you need it.
my yank is like that now.
If 1/4 mile times are your goal there is only one choice really, I know there are die hards out there that run well with the M6s but they generaly have a surplus of power and make up for some of the bad 60 foot. While some guys look at the mph and so-so ET on a manual car and say 'wow that car makes a ton of power. ' I say, 'wow, that car must have a shitty 60 foot.' The guys that are running very good 60 foots with M6s tend to be all out lightweight race cars with pro shifted transmissions with no 5th and 6th anyhow.
If you choose the auto then dont compromise on a converter. As far as ETs go its one of the most important things in your combination. So many people just toss wahtever cheap converter in there and get very disappointed. One of the reasons mine drives arouns so well is its just a stock engine with a small cam and headers and the converter is made for 800hp. So unless its floored and in boost its really a somewhat tight converter.
I'd go automatic valve body 4L80E it will feel a lot more like stock and you can manually shift it to wind out the shift points.
