500 RWHP Help

Default 500 RWHP Help

New kid on the block and trying to do some home work. Anyone with suggestions for a 500 rwhp 02 T/A please feel free to give any advice. The plan is to go with forced induction (D1SC) and a full exhaust kit. I want to build a street car that handles exceptionally well. The car will be lowered, a complete overhaul of the suspension and brakes and the ignition will have an MSD coil pack. I was wondering if a head and cam swap will be necessary and if so which would be suitable for an every day driver that has a smooth idle. I know most people perfer loud and hauling *** down the strip for less than ten seconds but I would really like to try to build a nice street car. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all.

You Will Have To Do A Head,cam,and Other Stuff With The Supercharger To Get There.

The D1SC will get u to 500 easily. Doin heads adn cams will just allow the power to come in with less boost. And that isnt a issue. 500 rwhp is easily attainable with FI. Its almost attainable with a cam and head and bolt ons.
Also dont waste ur money on teh MSD coils. the stock ones are good for WAYY more then 500. Im not sayin the MSD's aint good jsut that its a waste of money.
U should also look into gettin 1 of the 8 rib belt setups so taht u dont ever have to worry about slippage. It isnt totally necessaryat the power u gonan make but it will be great if u decide to go higher. (and u will).
If u decide to do heads adn cam as well then u can jsut get away with puttin teh heads off a 6.0 truck on. They have bigger combustion chambers and flow alot better. The bigger combustion chamber will allow for more power as u will have lower compression. That is a good thing. As far as teh cam u shol lok around at teh sponsers and most of them have cams that are labeled as FI cams. that kinda cam is big in the lift department but not big in teh duration so that u dont get overlap.
Only other things i can think of that ull NEED are spark plugs and wires, a clutch, prolly a rearend as tehy are prone to givin out, a fuel pump and larger injectors.

The stock clutch will let go. I drive like a garandpa and it went quick. Get the clutch done at the same time to avoid this issue.

Not the case with the heads. I have stock heads and a very conservative tune with no meth, and still made over 500 rwhp. 500 rwhp is easy with F.I.
