Default Traction ?

What would provide more traction,

1. Sumitomo HTRZ - 315/35 17
2. Falken Azenis RT-615 - 275/40 17

On a full weight daily driven vehicle?

I realize that this should go on wheels and tires, but I wanted feedback from people with daily driven turbo's...

Neither, you'll need drag radials for any kind of traction with a big turbo setup. Even then you could still be outta luck with finding some traction on the street.

FI + street tires = no traction

Better get a good DR like the BFGs or the MTs

Mickey Thompson finally released the 315/35/17 drag radial, that should be one hooking tire.

Definately. You need at least a 10" wide wheel for that tire. Would be best on a 11 or 12" wheel.

My car hooks like a ***** on the street with 335 Hoosiers. They aint cheap, and they don't last long, but they HOOK! (1.5 60' times) I can smoke my 315 nittos from a 50mph roll (for comparison).

what size rim are u using those 335's on?

I have 18 in 305/35/18 Nitto Drag Radials for street use. you can't hook from a dig but they are a decent tire to get around with and will hook better than any regular tire out there while having decent tread life and you can drive with them if it gets wet out unlike the BFG's or M/t's.

What rims 10 to 11 inches wide are you guys using for street use? I want to buy two wheels for the rear for the drag radials when i go to the car shows i just put my good wheels back on.
