Sts turbo and SLT LT headers

is it possible to use slp's long tube headers with a sts turbo kit on a 98 z

possible, but stock manifolds will work much much better.

Ya, if they're already on there, leave em...they won't hurt too much. LT's dissipate heat too much verses the stock manifolds. Wrap the exhaust though and you may not have much of a difference.

i would like to try to stock manifolds and see the difference

EDIT: i would like to try the stock manifolds with coated y pipe + wrapp back to turbo with .81 A/R

I would advise to take them off, especially with SLPs. I had SLPs on my car. The difference with stock manifolds vs the SLPs was big with the stock manifolds providing much faster spool.
