408+P1SC-1 Boost results
thought I would share my results so far. The 408 is now up and running in my GTO. Although I have an F1C head unit waiting to be installed, I thought I would max out the P1 and see what I could squeeze out of her.
I had ASP build me a custom 8" 8 rib crank pulley, and installed a 3.25 blower pulley....Max impeller speed is achieved at a sedate 6500RPM.
I have a pretty restrictive exhaust setup with JBA shorties, JBA catted mid pipes and a Corsa Touring exhaust. I am sure the exhaust is a major factor in my boost #'s, but even so HPT is showing 188.5 KPA at 6300 RPM (through the less than optimal K&N filter supplied by ATI) that is nearly 13PSI from the lil ole P1
My fuel system needs to be tweaked a little more, as my current setup can't handle the demand. I am running a single Walbro 255 and an SX performance 18203, in a staged setup. On paper the two combined should be more than enough.....although on road testing is proving otherwise.
Once I get the fueling issue resolved, It's dyno time for timing tweaks, and see what the final results will be for the lil ole P1. My car has been down for well over a year, so plans are to enjoy the fruits of my labor until fall, then I will start in on the F1C install....
