mounting stock fans to radiator?

i'm just going to buy a OEM style replacement radiator and i would like to know if i could mount the stock fans to the radiator and get rid of the plastic shroud they sit in to help free up some room.

how do you guys mount fans to the radiator anyhow? some type of zip tie or something?

You can buy a install kit from advance or somewhere that has the little black straps that you push through the radiator and put the clip on the back side! Just drill some holes in the fans and stick em through!!!
