Default Anybody using an EBoost2 with two external gates and one solenoid?

Mine ran two internal gates fine with one solenoid.

I'm going to try it on two external gates with top and bottom ports connected. Anyone done this with success? Dr.Turbo?

I used 1 solenoid when I had 2 internally gated turbos, when I changed them out to T70's with external gates I bought a second solenoid, the instructions say it will fry the single why? I don't know.

Back on topic. Yeah, the destructions say to use 2 solenoids, but I couldn't guess why. All its moving is air. Maybe a sales tactic? Maybe 1 can't move enough air to operate 2 waste gates accurately.

Typically you want to run two, and all because they say its more accurate.

Thanks for the responses. I'm going to try one and see what happens. 12psi of boost is getting boring....only thing that woke me up was figuring out the vac routing to the top and bottom ports on the Tials plus EB2....that was fun.

How much boost Jeff?

bringing this back

im running twin gates on my setup, single turbo
currently have 1 solenoid but will hook up a 2nd as i have 1 spare

wastegates have 15lb springs in them
i want to run anywhere from 20-35lb depending on fuel

which way have people hooked up there solenoids?
just the single port method on each solenoid to each gate?
so thats left port to bottom of gate
middle to comp cover
right port vents to atmo
top port of gate vents to atmo

would this work fine?
thanks
Troy

Single port method should work fine. Although will depend on backpressure etc too.

Try it and see, if it doesnt work use both ports.
